About the role

The treasury manager will be responsible for overseeing group treasury management activities listed below. The candidate should be a strong team player, have the competencies to work independently in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, be able to challenge the status quo and work at improving current processes.

What you'll do here:

Financing

  • Monitor capital markets and provide intelligence on market opportunities.
  • Monitor IFCâs outstanding debt and performance in secondary markets.
  • Support the treasury director in accessing capital markets; Common share, preferred shares, debt and hybrid issuances.
  • Ensure all regulatory filings related to treasury are in place (i.e. prospectuses).

Bank relationships

  • Maintain relationships with banks for banking and credit arrangements.
  • Benchmark bank syndication performance.

Cash Management

  • Prepare the groupâs consolidated cash flow forecasts; strong ability to liaise with different business lines to determine cash needs and availability.
  • Manage liquidity, special transactions, foreign currency needs, intercompany loans etc.
  • Maintain, letters of credit and credit facilities, monitor covenants, complete and file quarterly compliance reports.

Other

  • Develop currency policy and monitor all currency exposure.
  • Perform M&A accretion analysis.
  • Lead WACC, intrinsic value and share buyback analyses.
  • Develop strategies to reduce treasury related costs.
  • Support reporting and Investor Relations teams in public disclosures related to treasury items.


What you bring to the table:

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in Treasury.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and treasury operations, preferably within insurance/financial services.
  • Strong team management and outstanding leadership skills.
  • Strong skills in presenting to and interacting with senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Public company reporting experience.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
