We're seeking a skilled Corporate Correspondence Coordinator to join a team, who excels in research, writing, and editing. In this role, your attention to detail will be crucial as you determine the nature and scope of the research needed to write your response and ensure accuracy and clarity in your messaging. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of unit correspondence processes and guidelines, showcasing your strategic thinking and communication skills. What can I expect to do in this role?In this role you will be responsible for:
• determining nature and scope of research required for correspondence materials
• preparing responses to correspondence by writing, editing and proofreading copy in plain language, while maintaining accuracy
• participating in the development, revision and implementation of unit correspondence processes, procedures, guidelines and tools
• determining writing style, tone and approach suitable to client requirements and audience
• recommending what briefing materials are required to provide information to Minister and senior managers on issues receiving media/public attention.

• conduct interviews, gather information, discuss and clarify client requirements
• provide consultative advice on written materials
• develop and maintain effective working relationships across the organization

Research and Analysis Skills:You demonstrate an ability to:
• assess the nature of the research required, identify sources, and gather information
• remain current with relevant program/policy issues and trends
• analyze client communication requirements and objectives
• recommend format, writing style, and tone based on audience
• ensure written materials prepared by others meet the client's communication goals

Writing and Editing Skills:You demonstrate the ability to:
• write, edit, and proofread responses to correspondence
• ensure writing meets established standards and conveys intended messages
• convey technical terms in plain language

Knowledge of Communication, Journalism, and Public Affairs:You can demonstrate an ability to:
• utilize social media and digital communication tools
• apply knowledge of communication, journalism, and public affairs theory

Planning and Coordination Skills:You demonstrate:
• the ability to work effectively in a busy environment with competing priorities
• political acuity and informed decision-making
• flexibility and responsiveness to promote client services and support collaboration and integration across the branch
