At our Cascades plant in Scarborough, ON you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Containerboard Packaging division of our team as the Production Supervisor:Â
- Lead with a core belief of Safety as a Value. Establish and maintain a healthy working relationship and strong safety culture with supervisors and department employees to ensure compliance for all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Assist Production Manager in preparing and implementing action plans and continuous improvement strategies relevant to Operations
- Assist the Production Manager with the review and prioritization of work orders to support safety improvements and operational efficiency
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily scheduled production
- Accountable for the health and safety of all workers under their supervision; responsible for ensuring that all operations are safe and that employees work in compliance with established work practices and procedures; interacts with and participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Monitor and/or control quality and production levels
- Conduct timely accident and investigation reports and all follow up in such matters to closure
- Identify problems on the floor and make quick decisions to resolve them to support the plant goals
- Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
- Identify employee development and training needs, documents training and ensures that training is effective.

Mid-night Shift Position and should be flexible to periodically cover other shifts, per business needs.Â
- Minimum two (2) plus years experience in a manufacturing environment, corrugated paper industry is preferred
- Minimum two (2) plus years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory
- Must demonstrate a competence in all supervisory skills and requirements
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are a must to be successful in a team environment
- Strong commitment to safe work behaviors is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
