Port Hawkesbury Paper is seeking an IT Support and Systems Analyst Specialist. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role involves providing daily technical support to end-users, offering frontline assistance with existing systems, and collaborating with software vendors and users to improve the company's IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field. Experience in IT support, systems analysis, or a similar role is beneficial. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Teams, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps and SQL programing language.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Assist with installations, configurations, and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Work with vendors to maintain existing systems and participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, software rollouts, or process improvements.
  • Record and manage incidents in a helpdesk system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Create and maintain documentation, such as procedures for IT governance and knowledgebase articles for troubleshooting.
  • Provide clear communication between business departments and software vendors. Coordinate meetings to gather requirements and validate solutions.

Skill/Competency Requirements:

  • Ability to work safely in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and networking. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with databases.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI and willingness to learn more.
  • Basic project management skills, with the ability to coordinate tasks and manage timelines effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with users at all levels of the organization.
  • This position requires 24-hr on-call duties for one week every four weeks.
  • Additional hours may be required, especially when resolving technical issues or supporting critical systems.
