We are currently recruiting for a Training Coordinator for our St. John's, NL base.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- This job entails planning, scheduling and logistical support for all Aerospace pilot training events. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and arrange all Pilot Simulator and Ground Training Events
- Direct liaison with Flight Safety Canada & International
- Coordinate Ground School training events
- Coordinate Simulator training events
- Ensure Line Indoctrination/Line Check's are arranged for new and existing pilots
- Coordinate CRM Training for flight crew
- Arrange travel, hotel and rental
- Track costing for sim, travel, hotel and rentals
- Prepare Purchase orders for billing
- Arrange and maintain classroom locations for ground-based training events
- Coordinate new hires and deliver onboarding presentation
- Create ETR's (Electronic Training Records) in Pelesys for crew training events
- Process flight test reports and type rating payments, as required
- Provide monthly report to TC on Flight Tests and ACP monitors, as required
- Attend weekly pilot training meetings and oversee pilot training compliance
- Create and update crew schedules and pairings in OC for all Ground based training events
- Maintain training schedule within Google calendar and ensure up to date
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; all Microsoft office products
- Other duties as assigned.
- Coordinate and arrange all Pilot Simulator and Ground Training Events
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Word/Excel/Office 365.
- 40-60 wpm.
- Office Admin certification or experience in an office environment would be considered.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in aviation an asset.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team is a must.

Qualifications- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of IT Security administration experience
- Strong experience with networking systems: LAN, WAN, switches, routers, protocols, firewalls, VPN, wireless networks, security appliances, and network access security
- Experience with CrowdStrike antivirus and SPLUNK monitoring software
- Completion of Cisco and Microsoft certifications would be considered an asset
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA) would be considered an asset
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) would be considered an asset
- Certified Network Defender (CND) would be considered an asset
- Overall management of information technology security, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, logging, web filtering, intrusion detection/prevention systems, etc.
- Development and enforcement of information security plans and policies, ensuring they meet all contractual and regulatory requirements
- Develop strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach
- Assist with the development of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Plans
- Lead IT security compliance programs such as ISO27001
- Regular review of system event and audit logs to ensure policy compliance
- Conduct risk analysis of new information systems, and make recommendations
- Awareness training of the workforce on security standards, policies, and best practices
- Conduct periodic network and vulnerabilities scans
- Conduct periodic simulated cyber attacks on information systems, networks, and end-users to find exploitable weakness
- Conduct periodic configuration reviews of existing systems to ensure policy compliance
- Investigation of security incidents & security breaches
- Lead incident response to security incidents
- Review of all requested information system configuration changes
- Transitioning system and network support duties to other infrastructure team members within 6 months
- Mentor junior infrastructure team members
- Cross train Infrastructure Team members to provide backup support for Security Administration tasks
- Other duties as assigned
