SYSTEM ANALYST (temporary Full-Time Position)

The Opportunity

As a member of the Corporate Services team, the System Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining networks and systems across Ontario Health atHome. The System Analyst participates in and demonstrates an understanding of quality, risk and client safety principles and practices. Follows all safe practices and procedures to support a safe client and working environment. This is a temporary full time position with an anticipated duration of twelve (12) months.

What will you do?

  • In coordination with the Manager, develops, designs, installs, configures, maintains and handles issues around all building and wide-area network communications.
  • Monitors and manages network and server security
  • Performs regular Windows updates and system/software patching to all hosted systems
  • Manages service level agreements and implements large and small scale disaster recovery plans to ensure uptime of networks, applications and servers.
  • Develops and conducts staff-used software and VOIP system end-user training
  • Drafts user manuals and/or document process and procedures
  • Administers and maintains Ontario Health atHome systems (e.g., Storage Attached Network) and trouble shoots high-risk concerns (e.g., server down)
  • Responds to facility needs as required
  • Monitors and manages network and sever security
  • Provides service desk assistance to ensure client satisfaction

What must you have?

  • Greater than two (2) year Post-secondary diploma in Information Systems or a related field
  • ITIL Foundations Certification an asset
  • Greater than one (1) years' relevant experience
  • Previous experience in an information technology support capacity
  • Basic knowledge of Ontario Health atHome business strategies, objectives, priorities and programs, and related Business Solutions and Information Technology priorities and plans
  • Basic knowledge of the evolving role of Ontario Health atHome, and the issues and priorities within the healthcare sector and how these impact technology and networks
  • Good knowledge of LAN/WAN and IP technologies, networked servers, and appliances/equipment and networking design
  • Good knowledge of management information systems, technology and software
  • Knowledge of data privacy legislation, laws and practices and security requirements as they relate to privacy
  • Understanding of the impact on client service delivery of changes and interruptions to applications
  • Advanced knowledge of internet searching and navigating
  • We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination status prior to start date
