Our EQ Bank platform (eqbank.ca) has been named the top Schedule I Bank in Canada on the Forbes World's Best Banks 2023, 2022, and 2021 lists.Senior Analyst, Fraud Strategy & Analytics will be reporting to Associate Director, Fraud Mitigation and be responsible for creating an effective and balanced fraud mitigation program for digital banking through fraud strategy & analytics, monitoring & data management as well as coordinating response to fraud incidents. This would also include supporting on a variety of projects including defining fraud framework in EQ Bank. These projects involve cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the company and support senior executive and Board-level decision making.The Work Fraud strategy & analytics:Bring fraud prevention roadmap to fruition for the digital bankIdentify, evaluate, and mitigate of emerging fraud trends for banking and cardsAnalyze large sets of data for fraud trends, patterns and behaviorsDevelop fraud reporting to identify fraud trends, and develop strategies to minimize fraud lossesIdentify potential fraud control gaps/opportunities, assess benefit from improvements, and build the business case with Associate Director to implement changes to improve fraud controlsIdentify opportunities for driving operational efficiencies to mitigate fraud losses & manage costsFraud monitoring & data management:Work closely with core teams to set up performance monitoring agenda and frequencyDevelop reporting to track performance of fraud mitigation tools, cost and other indicators Focus on continuously optimizing and improving performance in line with latest fraud trends Management of fraud data to enable rapid tracking and monitoring of trendsWork with Technology teams to ensure relevant data pools are available to enable robust management and tracking of fraud dataSupport Incident response & management:Work with other teams such as fraud operations to identify incidents and/or latest trends and support response management to incidents by working collaboratively with cross-functional team Help to develop and maintain playbook for response to fraud incidents, where possibleEffectively engage with business partners to scope and design holistic response to fraud incidents, and work with partners to implement plansLet's Talk About You 2-3 years of experience in fraud strategy & operations, data analytics, risk management, and knowledge management in the financial services spaceSolid understanding of trade-off between fraud mitigation and customer experience across banking, cards and different payment channels Strong preference for experience related to Canadian banking & regulatory environmentBachelor’s degree in statistics, engineering, quantitative field or equivalent experience; Masters degree an advantageProven record in working closely with different lines of business, influencing and collaboration in cross-functional teamsExcellent conceptual and critical thinking skillsStrong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal skills Plan, manage and action project plans and initiativesExperience analyzing and solving complex business problems, including ambiguous problemsStrong analytically-anchored problem solving skills, with a solid background working with data, conducting analysis, interpreting results, and writing reports/presentationsSQL, Python, R, Power BI or Tableau experience preferredWhat we offer (For full-time permanent roles) Competitive discretionary bonus✨ Market leading RRSP match program
