Our client is searching for a Manager of Operational Accounting to join their team. This role will be responsible for financial accounting, financial reporting, control activities, tax compliance activities, and special projects relate to the company. A successful candidate will be able to handle expanding responsibilities depending on the needs of the company and the candidate’s abilities. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

  • Managing an accounting staff, providing leadership, direction, and mentorship
  • Monthly accounting duties including preparation of monthly schedules, accounting, preparation of operating statements, preparation of consolidated trial balance
  • Oversee the invoicing function of the operational companies
  • Establish, improve and maintain best billing practices ensuring billings are complete, timely and in accordance with the contract
  • Oversee the expense claim function of the operational companies
  • Responsible for the month end closing process for the operational companies
  • To provide support to the CFO directly for a variety of ad hoc requests

Your strengths include:

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting
  • Professional Accounting Designation
  • 5+ years of increasing experience in Finance and Accounting functions or Public Practice
  • Experience with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Highly developed analytical, mathematical, and problem solving skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to conduct work with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as a strong proficiency with computers
  • Proven reliability, consistency, accuracy and attention to detail, while meeting deadlines
