We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.As a product manager for video safety, you will have the thrilling opportunity to lead the exploration and integration of cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs) into our video platform to enhance risk identification and automated content moderation. In this role, you will drive the development of innovative AI-driven tools that preemptively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a safe viewing environment. You will collaborate closely with LLM model research teams to tailor LLM technologies for detecting nuanced and emerging types of harmful content, continuously refining our moderation algorithms. This position offers the chance to be at the forefront of AI in social media, directly shaping the future of digital content safety and user experience. You will also work to deliver major Trust and Safety product changes. Responsibilities- Drive complex projects independently, define the safety product roadmap, set success metrics that inform the success of safety efforts, and partner across the organization to develop action plans- Focus on building effective and scalable features and auto-moderation strategy to provide users with a safe experience.- Work closely with issue experts, and policy team, as well as cross-functional partners, to establish a workflow to critically analyze, prioritize, and drive cross-functional efforts to achieve success.- Develop a robust workflow for cross-team collaboration, manage large-scale product improvement projects to improve community safety.- Leverage LLM to identify potential risks and perform content moderation automatically.
5+ years of experience in product management in Consumer-Facing mobile or web Internet companies, be familiar with models and algorithms.- Good project management and communication skills, able to influence and unite cross-functional teams.- Identify, analyze and improve existing business/product processes to optimize performance, meet best practice standards or improve quality and user experience.- Strong and proven data analysis skills for product design and knowledge of methods for researching and analyzing product designs to determine their potential for meeting organizational standards and business needs.Preferred Qualifications- Experience of working with international partners across different time zones and cultures- Experience in Trust & Safety; Basic knowledge of safety by design principles- Understanding of the landscape and new policy developments in the tech industry and online safety- Prior experience managing products with safety-related success metrics highly desirable- Prior experience managing products related to human and/or machine-based moderation to remove harmful content highly desirableTrust & Safety recognizes that keeping our platform safe for TikTok communities is no ordinary job which can be both rewarding and psychologically demanding and emotionally taxing for some. The base salary range for this position in the selected city is CAD$ 113760- CAD$ 227240 annually.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
As well as Short/Long term Disability, Basic Life, Survivor Benefit and AD&D insurance plans.
Our time off and leave plans are: 11 paid holidays per year plus 19 days of vacation (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 7 paid sick days per year as well as 13 weeks of supplemental paid maternity leave top-up and 10 weeks of Supplemental Paid Parental Leave top-up.
We also provide generous benefits such as RRSP company match, EAP, gym and cell phone service reimbursements.
