Botsford Associates is looking to add an experienced Tableau Developer/Engineer to our Team as part of a major Client Data Program we are currently embarking on. As part of our Capital Markets Technology Team, you will have the opportunity to lead efforts in migrating reporting off of Qlik and onto Tableau; this will entail building dashboards, helping to blend, extract and move data using SQL and Python (if possible) and leading the end to end reporting migration effort. Once the migration effort is over, we will look to have you be the continued SME for all future Tableau reporting buildouts as requests come in.Required Skills: Extensive hands-on experience using Tableau Desktop. Must have used Tableau desktop on a daily basis.Hands on experience using SQL and RDBMS (SQL Server and any cloud based DBs). Must have knowledge on advanced SQL queries using analytical functions, index usage, performance tuning, simplified querying etc.Hands-on experience using tableau features such as dashboard navigation, export friendly designs, modern UI/UX concepts, level of details expressions, groups, sets, hierarchies, combined fields, time period filters, parameters, dashboard actions (all types) and common financial industry related calculations around weighted averages, ratios and comparisons.Strong knowledge and experience using both logical and physical data modeling, incremental data extract refreshes setup, high volume data source builds and deployments, tableau published data sources, connection preferences etc.Understanding of tableau server fundamentals on folders, permissions, groups (local and AD), schedules, tasks, subscriptions, alerts and publishing options.Note: Preference will be shown to individuals with experience working within a Capital Markets Environment; Banking experience is required.Nice to Have Skills: Knowledge of data modeling, ETL and data structures. Data wrangling, transformation and blending knowledge is a plus.Experience or knowledge of using Tableau sever API and hyper API usage.Experience or knowledge of using batch scripting, control-m scheduler, python programming is a huge plus.
