A strong understanding of the food industry and food processing is also necessary.• Degree in Sales & Marketing, a degree in dairy food, agricultural science, chemistry, or biology will be valued.• Proven ability to cultivate an extensive network of contacts and develop trusting relationships.• Knowledge of CRM platforms and the Office suite.• Strong business sense, and understanding of business relationships between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users.• Knowledge of direct sales techniques.• Excellent listening skills and problem-solving abilities to uncover the needs and motivations and overcome objections to close a sale.• Effective negotiating skills that make customers realize the appropriate value for products and services.• Ability to manage time and resources to achieve goals.• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Note: Candidates must be willing and able to work off hours, possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record.
