Position Overview:

Lumine is seeking a Finance Manager who will be responsible for preparing and managing all financial planning and analysis activities, managing all post-acquisition integration requirements, and overseeing all debt reporting obligations, to support Lumine’s growth goals. This role reports to the Senior Director of Finance of Lumine Group.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Financial planning and analysis:

  • Review and perform quality assurance of quarter-end deliverables such as quarterly budgets, forecast to actual variance analyses, IRR, ROIC, attrition analysis, organic growth, cash flow forecasting, and more.
  • Prepare quarterly results presentations and present to leadership team including CEO. Provide meaningful observations on financial results and outliers.
  • Work closely with Lumine’s Controllership group to ensure quarterly results are accurate and timely.
  • Support preparation of quarterly management discussion and analysis report.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure cash is efficiently utilized across all of the businesses.
  • Recommend improvements to the forecasting process and create and maintain related learning resources to improve overall forecasting accuracy.
  • Act as an advisor to the portfolio companies’ finance teams to improve efficiencies related to their internal processes as well as share insights and best practices for continuous improvement.

Acquisition integration and monitoring:

  • Support financial integration of new acquisitions, including purchase price allocations, accounting policy review and alignment, rollout of reporting requirements and governance standards, creation of new bottoms-up forecasts, and more.
  • Responsible for ensuring opening balance sheet accounting is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure all post-acquisition timelines and submissions to sellers are monitored and adhered to.
  • Train and coach finance teams within portfolio companies to ensure they are equipped to follow international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Track acquisitions against Lumine’s investment thesis.
  • Support post-acquisition 1-year lookbacks and track learnings and takeaways.
  • Recommend improvements to the integration process and create and maintain learning resources.
  • Conduct situational assessments, identify gaps, make recommendations, and direct the implementations of such changes as required at the portfolio companies.

Debt monitoring:

  • Prepare all reporting requirements for lenders related to head office debt facility.
  • Review all reporting requirements and covenant calculations for lenders related to BU debt facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with covenants at all times, including appropriate interim monitoring processes.

Other ad hoc requests and projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • designation (CPA or equivalent).
  • years of FP&A and accounting experience, with acquisition accounting experience required.
