Tasuspecializes in providing complete modular solutions for affordable housing,remote workforces, and Indigenous communities. Backed by our years of experience, we handle every aspect ofproject design, coordination, construction, and installation in remote andurban locations.
Tasu is looking for an Accounting Manager to join ourexciting organization. In this role, you will be responsible for many things,from accounts payable, accounts receivable, draw preparation, monthly journalentries, reconciliations, and monthly closing process, and full cycleaccounting.
This person is an essential partof the project team and should be a highly organized individual with effective communicationskills. Training and mentoring will be provided throughout the onboardingprocess to ensure the candidate is comfortable with company systems andprocesses.
The Company oversees severalconstruction projects at any given time with our core focus being modularconstruction in the workforce accommodation industry. The Accounting Manager wouldbe a key resource supporting the company and collaborating with alldepartments.
Month-end accounting journal entries

~ Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts

~ Manage Vendor and Customer master accounts

~ Maintain capital asset listings andintercompany rental billings

~ Process corporate tax instalments

~ Monitor and ensure costs are correctly codedto specific projects, labour, and expense GL codes

~ Prepare Project Profit and Loss Budget toActual Reports for review with Project Managers

~ Respond to inquiries from Project Managers,subtrades, suppliers, management, and other project staff

~ Track construction hold-back accounts, andcoordinate holdback releases with subcontractors, Project Managers, and theaccounting department

~ Bank transaction processing and treasurymanagement

~ Perform various expense GL analyses toidentify trends for management review

~ Accounting Certificate/Diploma or other Accounting-related courses an asset

~ Bachelor of Business Administration degree or similar degree preferred

~ 2-3 years' experience with project accounting and job costing experience (ideally in the construction industry)

~ Experience with QuickBooks requiredand preferably Premier Contractor/Enterprise Edition and Payworks

~ Proficiency in office computerapplications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

~ Full time 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday

~ Preferably workin-office at Squamish Head Office, remote work option to be assessed
