Tasu is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our exciting organization. In this role, you will be responsible for many things, from accounts payable, accounts receivable, draw preparation, monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closing process, and full cycle accounting.

The Company oversees several construction projects at any given time with our core focus being modular construction in the workforce accommodation industry. The Accounting Manager would be a key resource supporting the company and collaborating with all departments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for all full cycle accounting duties
- Month-end accounting journal entries
- Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
- Prepare and process all AR, AP, and Payroll transactions
- Manage Vendor and Customer master accounts
- Maintain capital asset listings and intercompany rental billings
- Prepare and process GST and PST returns
- Process corporate tax instalments
- Monitor and ensure costs are correctly coded to specific projects, labour, and expense GL codes
- Prepare Project Profit and Loss Budget to Actual Reports for review with Project Managers
- Investigate and explain general ledger variances to budget
- Respond to inquiries from Project Managers, subtrades, suppliers, management, and other project staff
- Track construction hold-back accounts, and coordinate holdback releases with subcontractors, Project Managers, and the accounting department
- Processing various intercompany transactions for related companies
- Bank transaction processing and treasury management
- Assist with year-end requests from external accountants
- Perform various expense GL analyses to identify trends for management review
- Assist in maintaining company metrics reporting system
- Other duties as assigned

**Knowledge and Qualifications**:

Accounting Certificate/Diploma or other Accounting-related courses an asset**
- ** Bachelor of Business Administration degree or similar degree preferred**:

- Post secondary education plus CPA designation
- 2-3 years’ experience with project accounting and job costing experience (ideally in the construction industry)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with QuickBooks required and preferably Premier Contractor/Enterprise Edition and Payworks
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred
- Capacity to work independently and in a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills able to prioritize
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

**Salary, Benefits and Employment Conditions**:

- $85,000 - $95,000 depending on skills, education, and experience
- Profit sharing available upon successful completion of required vesting period
- Extended health benefits after completion of probationary period
- 3 weeks annual vacation
- Full time 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Preferably work in-office at Squamish Head Office, remote work option to be assessed
