One of our manufacturing clients in Grand Forks, BC region is looking for a Health & Safety Manager for their facility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to federal, provincial, and local health and safety regulations within the workplace.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to align with industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Oversee the incident investigation process, including reporting, analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, management, local communities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, ensuring a high level of awareness and compliance.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for unforeseen incidents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training activities.
  • Implement strategies for continuous improvement in health and safety performance through data analysis, trend identification, and benchmarking.
  • Provide regular reports on key health and safety performance indicators to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Accumulate 5 or more years of professional experience in Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment
  • Thorough comprehension of Federal, Provincial, and local regulations pertaining to Health and Safety
  • Exhibit strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication with keen attention to detail
  • Showcase problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Display skills in effective communication, data accuracy, and integrity
