Role

We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant to join our Banking and Finance Group in Montreal . The candidate in this role will provide administrative assistance to a dynamic team and play a key role in the supporting high-profile transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Draft and review correspondence, agreements, letters and other documents
  • Develop document templates, format documents and complete forms
  • Manage calendars, client lists, files and billing as required
  • Perform administrative tasks such as new client intake, creating expense reports and data entry
  • Update and ensure the accuracy of the organization's databases
  • Perform general procedural tasks related to the business of the company, such as obtaining tax identification numbers, communicating with the Registre des Entreprises, and similar
  • Perform other general administrative responsibilities such as e-mail correspondence, printing and filing, answering and forwarding incoming calls

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or equivalent diploma
  • At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients and team members
  • Aptitude for multi-tasking and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel)
