Job Title: Quality Supervisor

Overview: As a Quality Supervisor in our manufacturing and distribution facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and consistency. You will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes, implementing quality assurance measures, and leading a team of quality inspectors to achieve operational excellence. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and leadership skills will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Systems:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of wire harness assemblies at various stages of production to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and train a team of quality inspectors, providing guidance on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality consciousness and accountability among team members, promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development opportunities for team members.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality control measures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize quality-related defects and rework.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and participate in internal and external audits as required.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and non-conformances, utilizing digital documentation systems where applicable.
  • Prepare regular reports on quality performance metrics, including defect rates, rework costs, and corrective action status, for management review.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and quality enhancement through data analysis, trend monitoring, and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement projects and drive efficiency gains in wire harness assembly processes.

Customer Liaison and Compliance:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, feedback, and quality-related issues, ensuring timely response and resolution.
  • Collaborate with customers to conduct root cause analysis for quality concerns, utilizing methodologies such as 8D problem-solving to identify underlying causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate the completion of First Article Inspections (FAIs), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions, and other customer-required documentation to demonstrate product conformance and compliance.
  • Coordinate and support external audits conducted by customers or regulatory agencies, providing documentation, conducting facility tours, and addressing audit findings to maintain customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards.
