Data Product Manager

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Data Product Manager to assist our client with the development of their data and analytics platform and associated services and tools to support data analytics practices, and to populate the Finance Data Catalogue and Finance Data Store with metadata and data respectively.The successful candidate will be a technology specialist that has successfully led multi-disciplinary analysis, design, and delivery teams in support of complex data operations and integration projects, with individuals at a senior level reporting directly to them. This role requires expert knowledge of data analysis, transformation, and management and understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of various technological approaches. This position is expected to determine the suitability of a technological solution for a given purpose and for defining and describing the best possible solution.Requirements: 7+ years of experience in software development, integration and/or solution architectureHands on experience and be able to provide skills and expertise in the areas of:technical team leadershipdata modellingdata managementdata integrationdata operationsdata quality assurancemeta data collection and managementsoftware developmentCI/CDExtensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including:Azure Data FactoryAzure Synapse AnalyticsAzure DatabricksAzure SQL DatabaseAzure Blob StorageAzure DevOpsDemonstrated proficiency and experience in the following areas:working with various forms and sources of structured and unstructured dataworking with subject matter extracts, conducting interviews and workshops to gather requirements and gain business insights to produce high quality data productscollecting and managing metadataOpenShift and related tools such as Helm and Dockerworking with platform users to gather and analyse requirementsunderstanding of system and data management issues including privacy and securitydocumenting and maintaining appropriate system documentationAbility to communicate effectively, to a broad range of stakeholders, including executive and senior management using oral and written communication skillsIf you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
