SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Marketing, the Digital Content & SEO Specialist will be responsible for the production and maintenance of digital content as well as all efforts pertaining to SEO, supporting our 6 pharmacy banner brands across Canada. The specialist will be involved from strategy to execution, in order to deliver measurable results.

The Digital Content & SEO Specialist will be called upon to manage external vendors, project budgets or banks of hours efficiently and ensure the delivery of their projects.

More specifically, the candidate will be responsible for:

CONTENT PRODUCTION

  • Oversee content asset development for company’s digital channels (websites, apps, email) according to business needs coming from brand teams, product teams, category management or pharmacy services
  • Contribute to editorial guidelines and content calendars
  • Coordinate content production from copywriting to approval (articles, web pages, content hubs, infographics, videos, newsletters, etc.) for assigned projects with internal teams, partners and agencies
  • Coordinate content deployment on various digital platforms (including testing pre- and post-deployment)
  • Lead working sessions and brainstorms, as needed
  • Contribute as a subject matter expert for other teams
CONTENT MANAGEMENT

  • Conduct regular audits and manage inventory of existing content
  • Analyze content performance on websites, using analytic tools
  • Oversee revisions and updates to existing content on various digital platforms in accordance with established content calendars and changes in regulatory / retail pharmacy landscape
  • Coordinate with internal teams for revisions and approvals
  • Manage digital asset management tool and stock photography purchases
  • Analyze competitor’s content and stay current with industry trends and legislation that could trigger content updates and revision
SEO

  • Develop a comprehensive SEO strategy and identify tactics to increase visibility of our digital platforms (websites, mobile apps)
  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-potential keywords and search trends relevant to our industry
  • Execute on-page SEO optimization : meta, keyword usage, headings, schema, internal linking, etc.
  • Develop and execute off-page SEO strategies to enhance domain authority and online reputation
  • Contribute to local SEO Optimization of Google My Business location listings
  • Perform regular technical audits and performance reports to issue enhancement recommendations to product managers, if needed
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure new features and updates are SEO-friendly
  • Review, implement and track accessibility standards
  • Develop synergies between SEO and SEM
  • Generate performance reports and insights to continuously improve results
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to ensure effectiveness of SEO strategy and tactics
  • Be a subject matter expert on SEO best practices across the retail pharmacy group; develop and maintain SEO guidelines for content creation
REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Fluently bilingual, written and spoken (English and French)
  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
  • SEO expertise (technical, copy & reporting aspects)
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and related tools (GA360, Tag Manager, Keyword Planner, Search Console, Trends)
  • Knowledge of SEO Software and Tools (Keyword tools, Crawlers, etc)
ASSETS

  • Project Management Skills
  • Experience in health and marketing copywriting
  • SEM expertise is an asset
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS such as SiteCore)
  • Familiar with Digital Asset management tools (DAM)
  • Knowledge of email marketing systems (such as Dialog Insight, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Familiar with regulations surrounding the health industry, or able to function in a highly regulated environment
The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.
