The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the management and maintenance of the Food Safety and HACCP systems at MLF Brandon to ensure the plant’s ability to demonstrate ongoing compliance
Any MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by September 14, 2023. Provides Food Safety support to other members of FSQA and production
Administers third party and customer food safety requirements
Maintains Food Safety documents according to the written program, ensures that documents are reviewed/revised as scheduled.
Ensures that new policies, procedures and changes are implemented with appropriate documentation and training
Liaises with the HACCP Specialist and FSQA Technicians (HACCP) to maintain document control, tracking and ensure compliance
Maintains current knowledge of regulatory changes, new policies and industry standards.
Develops and implements training programs for employees
Responsible as back-up support for Quality Assurance Department in times of absence of HACCP Specialist and FSQA Technicians (HACCP)
Controls any non-compliant product that has been produced, performs a food safety assessment and determines appropriate disposition
Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Food Safety/Science program or equivalent industry experience
~2-3 years experience in the Food industry preferred.
