SENIOR STRATEGIC HEALTHCARE PARTNER (PHARMACY) – PFIZER CANADA

We are looking for a key talent to join the National Strategic Healthcare Partner Team as a Senior Strategic Healthcare Partner-Pharmacy for Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and B.C. The Strategic Healthcare Partner (SHP) is one of Pfizer’s Healthcare Solution Subject Matter Expert (SME) non-demand generating family of roles and part of the commercial customer facing organization reporting into the SHP Lead in the Commercial Innovation Organization. 

This role is critical to Pfizer Canada as you will be responsible to lead, develop and implement strategic partnerships and collaborative projects with identified key customer accounts. Key customer accounts refer primarily to retail pharmacy chains & banners, and Professional pharmacy associations. The Strategic Healthcare Partner has as an objective of creating a coordinated experience for identified accounts by helping to improve the overall healthcare impact of our medicines and vaccines. Through the SHP role, which is intended to be a trusted business partner to key stakeholders, you will aspire to gain a greater understanding of these strategic accounts and the unmet healthcare needs of the patients they serve in areas of joint interest.

SHPs (pharmacy) can collaborate on initiatives that will meet the prioritized therapeutic area needs of the patients served by pharmacists and enable the availability/optimal use of Pfizer medicines through discussions/agreements/partnerships. SHP mindset is driven by customer-centricity, collaboration, and an understanding of the medical information highway (Digital Pharmacy, AI and others) within the healthcare/pharmacy ecosystem.

THE SHP (PHARMACY) CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES CAN INCLUDE:

  • Act as the primary point of contact with the senior stakeholders within a strategic account and lead the long-term, consultative, senior executive strategic account relationship to become a trusted business partner.
  • Understand the strategic account organization, map key stakeholders, patient flow realities within the strategic account and associated to the strategic account (incl. decision making /influencing network)
  • Take a mid/long-term view of Pfizer’s business, aligning across the organization, to prioritize needs.
  • Lead the development of a strategic and holistic plan for the strategic account and co-create innovative solutions to meet the strategic account healthcare priorities in those areas of joint interest supporting a legitimate unmet patient need.
  • SHP will require support from other internal functions (e.g., Marketing, Medical, Access, Trade, etc.) to meet the identified needs of strategic accounts.
  • Act as cross-BU, One Pfizer contact lead for National and provincial pharmacy associations. Develop and maintain contacts with key association stakeholders. & assess and support associations.
  • Participate in industry/business-related organizations, societies, conferences to the extent relevant to their strategic account priorities.
  • Act as a patient journey expert that supports the understanding and identification of challenges, needs, and gaps that can be leveraged to improve the experience and engagement for patients and to achieve a better state of care. This understanding and identification of insights can be gathered externally through HCPs and strategic accounts interactions as main customers and internally from key functions or data sources such as PAG and Patient Advocacy colleagues, market research, digital tools and solutions, patient feedback from patient advisory boards, PSP insights, where available and appropriate.
  • Support the development of standardized processes, such as referral, treatment protocols, as per guidelines and expert opinion.
  • Develop and explore digital partnerships and tools that accelerate the patient journey to improve outcomes.
  • To demonstrate Pfizer Values and adhere to Pfizer compliance policies and procedures as well as to the Innovative Medicines Canada Code of Ethical Practice
  • Responsible to develop projects that aim to improve patient outcomes, by addressing HCP needs, and improving health system gaps in the pharmacy space. Projects to be tracked and to include key metrics (e.g.: patient flow/impact)
  • Work with cross functional team to address identified care gaps and evolve action plans.
  • To be a subject matter expert on the pharmacy stakeholder environment, professional scope, retail business environment and systems, so you can understand opportunities to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Engage and partner with key thought leaders to advance patient care.
  • Elevate stakeholders’ connectivity to favor learning and best practice sharing and advance roles and responsibilities around addressing unmet patient needs.

What we think you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Relevant University Degree in Business Administration or Science
  • Demonstrated record of success with a minimum of five years of pharmaceutical experience in a customer-facing role
  • High level of business acumen
  • Independent, self-starter who has proven ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent understanding of industry market trends and dynamics
  • Ability to quickly engage with recognized thought leaders with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Superior customer management skills and competencies
  • Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Experience with writing & implementing business/account plans.
  • Demonstrated strategic planning abilities with a good understanding of healthcare optimization system.

  • Proficiency using computer software.

FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES DU OU DE LA PSSS (PHARMACIE) :

  • Intervenir à titre de personne-ressource principale auprès des intervenantes et intervenants clés haut placé ⋅ e ⋅ s au sein d’un compte stratégique et entretenir des relations à long terme pour la consultation avec la haute direction des comptes stratégiques afin de devenir une conseillère ou un conseiller d’affaires digne de confiance .

  • Comprendre l’o r ganisation du compte stratégique et dresser un portrait des intervenantes et intervenants clés et des réalités du parcours des patientes et des patients au sein du compte stratégique et en lien avec celui-ci ( ce qui inclut la prise de décision et le réseautage auprès de personnes influentes ) .

  • Avoir une vision à moyen et long terme des affaires de Pfizer qui soit uniforme pour toute l’organisation afin de hiérarchiser les besoins .

  • Diriger l’élaboration d’un plan stratégique et global pour les comptes stratégiques et la cocréation de solutions novatrices afin de répondre aux priorités en soins de santé des comptes stratégiques dans ces domaines d’intérêt commun qui soutiennent un besoin non comblé légitime des patientes et des patients .

  • La ou le PSSS aura besoin du soutien d’autres équipes fonctionnelles de Pfizer (Marketing, Affaires médicales, Accès, Relations commerciales, etc.) pour répondre aux besoins des comptes stratégiques qui auront été cernés .

  • Intervenir en qualité de principale personne - ressource interfonctionnelle dans un esprit «Pfizer, une entité unifiée» auprès des associations nationales et provinciales de pharmacies . Établir et entretenir des relations avec les intervenantes et intervenants clés de ces associations. Évaluer et soutenir ces associations .

  • Siéger dans des organisations / sociétés liées à l’industrie ou à nos activités commerciales et p articiper à des conférences en rapport avec l’industrie ou nos activités commerciales dans la mesure où cette participation répond aux priorités du compte stratégique .

  • Faire fonction d’experte ou expert du parcours des patientes et des patients en contribuant à la compréhension et à la reconnaissance des difficultés , des besoins et des lacunes qui pourront servir à améliorer l’ exp é rience des patientes et des patients , et l’engagement auprès de ceux-ci, et à favoriser un meilleur état des soins . Ces renseignements peuvent être recueillis à l’externe grâce à des interactions avec des professionnelles et professionnels de la santé et des compte s stratégiques parmi nos principaux clients et nos principales clientes , et à l’interne grâce aux principales équipes fonctionnelles et à des sources de données telles que les groupes de défense des intérêts de s patient e s et des patients et les collègues de l’Engagement patients , de même que les études de marché , les outils et solutions numériques , les commentaires de patientes et de patient s dans les comités consultatifs de patients et les renseignements provenant des programmes de soutien aux patients , lorsque ces renseignements sont disponibles et pertinents .

  • Appuyer la mise au point de processus normalisés, comme des protocoles de traitement et d’orientation des patientes et des patients, conformément aux lignes directrices et aux opinions d’expertes et d’experts .

  • Établir des partenariats et mettre au point et explorer des outils numériques qui accélèrent le parcours des patientes et des patients afin d’améliorer leurs résultats thérapeutiques .

  • Démontrer les valeurs de Pfizer et respecter les politiques et procédures en matière de conformité de Pfizer ainsi que le C ode d’éthique de Médicaments novateurs Canada.

  • Voir à la réalisation de projets visant l’amélioration des résultats thérapeutiques pour les patientes et les patient s , en répondant aux besoins des professionnelles et professionnels de la santé et en cherchant à combler les lacunes du système de santé dans la sphère des pharmacies . Ces p rojets devront utiliser des paramètres de mesure clés et faire l’objet d’un suivi ( p. ex., parcours des patientes et patients /incidence sur les pa ti entes et patients ) .

  • Travailler avec l’équipe interfonctionnelle pour corriger les lacunes relevées et faire évoluer les plans d’action .

  • Intervenir à titre d’experte ou expert du milieu des intervenantes et intervenants en pharmacie et de leur champ d’exercice , de même que des systèmes et du milieu des ventes au détail , afin de comprendre les occasions permettant d e fournir des soins optimaux aux patientes et patients .

  • Collaborer avec les leaders d’opinion clés pour faire progresser les soins aux patientes et aux patients .

  • Faire passer les rapports avec les intervenantes et les intervenants à un niveau supérieur pour favoriser le partage de l’apprentissage et des pratiques exemplaires . Promouvoir les rôles et les responsabilités qui s ’ a ttachent à répondre aux besoins non comblés des patientes et des patients .

  • Diplôme universitaire pertinent en administration des affaires ou en sciences
