Learning Manager
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Learning Manager for a six (6) month engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. This client is pleased to offer a remote work model for this role.

Learning Manager Job Details
The Learning/Training Manager will develop and deploy an evidence and context-informed approach for Training and Learning Management for the different products that will be implemented by the Connected Health System Program.
Supported by the CHS Change Management Specialist, the Training Manager will engage critical stakeholders with the aim to understand the unique operational and strategic context of each stakeholder that need to be considered as part of developing a context-informed approach for Training and Learning Management.
Working closely with the Knowledge Translation and Evaluation lead, the Training Manager will leverage the information gleaned through Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation to determine an evidence-based and best practice approach for realizing a Training and Learning Management approach.
The Training Manager will develop a detailed approach for Training and Learning Management informed by Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation and Evidence and Best Practice review noted, above. The Training and Learning Management Approach will include elaboration of the specific approach to curriculum development, comments and recommendations around specific training and learning delivery systems and tools, and important considerations for implementing the CHS Training and Learning Management Approach.
The Training Manager will be responsible for leading the realization of the Training and Learning Management Approach in support of multiple product/service deployments but beginning with the Digital Referrals and Order Platform.
They will be a key lead in the Project Implementation Team and work closely with leads for Communication, Change Management, Operational Support, and Site Implementation Delivery. Additionally, the Learning Manager will oversee and direct the efforts of Learning Analysts.
Other related duties and tasks that may be assigned.

Learning Manager Mandatory Skills
Master's Degree in Education (Adult Education, Education Leadership) or an applicable health discipline (with education focus) with 5 years of solid education experience or equivalent program supplemented by 3-5 years of progressively more senior experience in education program planning and delivery in a health care setting.
Ability to design, develop and implement: learning needs assessments, curriculum, learning materials, a broad repertoire of teaching techniques, practice integration strategies, and evaluation plans.
Ability to coach others on how to design, develop and implement: learning needs assessments, curriculum, learning materials, a broad repertoire of teaching techniques, and evaluation plans.
Project planning and management skills, ability to manage several projects concurrently. Ability to lead and guide staff in education matters and speak to clinical education issues with senior staff, clinicians/providers, and Health Authority of Ministry of Health executive leaders.
Facilitation of cross-program priority and goal setting, coordinated and collaborative planning and implementation. Innovation and flexibility in the design and delivery of education supporting the use of a variety of delivery formats including distance delivery technologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to understand and communicate effectively with others at various levels of the organization and across programs.
Aptitude for progressive, innovative thinking.
Application of competency-based education models.
Experience in building learning reinforcement strategies, scaling training delivery and knowledge sharing models (e.g. train-the-trainer, peer mentorship) and developing/executing a plan to transition training delivery to an operational sustainment model.
Ability to operate various types of software including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software and different learning management solutions.

Learning Manager Nice-To-Have Skills
Being able to analyze training effectiveness through data and metrics.
An interest in staying updated on emerging technologies and their application in education.
Understanding budgeting and resource allocation for education initiatives.

Learning Manager Assignment Length
Six (6) month contract with the potential for three (3) extensions of three (3) months each.

Main office located in Burnaby, British Columbia. Consultants may also be based anywhere in Canada but are expected to commit to working PST hours.
