Sure enough, with every new task and challenge I’ve faced, I was always encouraged to take the time to pick up new skills, push myself beyond my comfort zone, and be the driver of my own career. I started this role with virtually no professional marketing experience, and I will always be grateful that I was able to explore as many facets of marketing in the span of only a year than I would have at any other company. From student recruitment, digital marketing, lead generation, etc. – there is always something exciting to pursue.

At Treewalk, I have found that the common theme is always thinking “How can this be done better?”, and the company would much rather reign you in than have to push you. Overall, this job has been more than just a career; it's been a transformative experience that has shaped me to be more confident and well-rounded, both as a marketer and an individual. As I leave this role, I am looking to pass on the torch to someone special who can lead the marketing department. If you identify as a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, my last piece of advice to succeed in this role would be to never feel like you’re finished with learning. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Proficiency in lead generation tools, primarily on the Google Ads platform
  • The ability to craft a cohesive and compelling visual story, and you’ve got the portfolio/examples to prove it. It might be your social media, school project, or work experience;
  • Experience with brand management and corporate communications;
  • An ability to conceptualize and manage multiple projects at once;
  • Solution oriented.
  • Website design experience on WordPress or landing page creators

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Identify and generate targeted business leads through various channels, and create captivating/personalized messaging for every audience;
  • Deliver exceptional and professional communication, whether in-person or via email, to engage prospective leads, clients, and students with the best service;
  • Create marketing strategies and communications schedules to engage prospective clients and increase volume in our lead pipelines;
  • Manage and improve the company’s online presence, including website maintenance, optimizing landing pages, and managing the LinkedIn profile;
  • Lead student recruitment initiatives, coordinating the firm’s participation in both in-person and virtual career fairs/recruitment events, and continue to nurture strong partnerships with post-secondary institutions and student associations;
  • Undertake various projects and administrative tasks as required.
  • Provide creative direction for marketing materials, including print and digital, trade show materials, etc.;

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree or diploma in Marketing or Business or a solid combination of junior-level experience and industry knowledge
  • Experience in developing and implementing lead generation strategies, including the Google Ads platform;
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
