Job Description
This is a hands-on, full-time role as a Legal Assistant, focusing primarily on real estate transactions. Responsibilities will include liaising with clients, maintaining communication with real estate agents, mortgagees, and other solicitors' offices, as well as handling bank transactions. The role demands expertise, efficiency, and precision in document processing. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing closing documents and reports. You will also assist in managing the lawyer's practice, including file management, calendar coordination, scheduling meetings and preparation using Teraview.
What You Will Need To Succeed
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a minimum of 2+ years of relevant real estate experience in a similar capacity. Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines are essential attributes. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness and enthusiasm for learning, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, consistently approaching tasks with energy, enthusiasm, and a positive mindset. Excellent client service skills are a must. Familiarity with conveyancing is required, and holding a diploma in Legal Administration, Law Clerk, or Legal Assistant is considered an asset.
