Join New Flyer as an Electrical Designer focused on PLC programming and engineering tasks. This role involves creating designs and supporting production in a leading North American bus manufacturer. As a Junior Designer, you will manage engineering design tasks, particularly around electrical checkouts and PLC programming. Your responsibilities will include creating designs that align with customer requirements and regulatory standards, along with providing engineering support to multiple departments. This position encourages independent work, creativity, and technical growth in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Design PLC programs to meet customer specifications
- Develop electrical checkout procedures for testing vehicles
- Create configuration files for various vehicle components
- Provide engineering support to production and QA teams
- Engage with vendors on design-related concerns
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 1-2 years of design experience preferred
- Knowledge of PLC programming is advantageous
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to travel to the US occasionally
