To ensure that strategic material ad scheduling planning processes are in place to enable operational and production continuity. Takes a co-ordinating lead, working closely with internal and external parties to ensure supply and materials is in place to satisfy production requirements. Able to deliver efficient, effective, and flexible solutions to meet production requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that material scheduling strategy and processes are in place and work effectively in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum inventory levels, whilst optimising costs
  • Take ownership of material planning issues that arise, including over or under delivery and take any follow up actions especially in the event of material shortages that affect production.
  • Supervise inventory risk and ensure that contingency plans are in place
  • Seek and recommend solutions to overcome issues arising in order to meet production requirements and address operational risks
  • Design, develop, and implement flexible solutions to aid business efficiency, drive process improvements, and add value
  • Ensure that professional and consistent material planning processes are applied across the business
  • Ensure that any Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system and related IT business systems (ERP) that
  • are in place are effective and that data is accurate and up-to-date and resolve any issues as required
  • Maintain inventory and inventory record accuracy
  • Data entry of production counts and address inaccuracies
  • Investigate and implement system enhancement initiatives
  • Ensure the integrity of Bills of Materials (BOM) and inventory accuracy at all times and supervise and
  • control inventory levels and movements
  • Ensure strategic and operational information, reports, and metrics are available to share with others in the business as and when required
  • Report on achievement of targets and identify any corrective actions
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time materials to the production cells as and when required avoiding disruption to production
  • Work with cross functional teams to deliver effective solutions
  • Liaise with stakeholders on design change requests and review and communicate the impact on material planning and schedules
  • Devising methods to optimize inventory control procedures (develop and implement cycle count system)
  • Monitor and recording daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
  • Analyze data from customer forecasts to support production planning
  • Supervise the Data Entry of received goods, and Daily production
  • Work closely with Production Supervisors on insuring that all staff members follow instructions pertaining to inventory management
  • Coordinate and oversee daily shipping activities to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
  • Related to shipping and transportation
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any related issues
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position
  • Lean Manufacturing training is an asset
  • Working knowledge of inventory / production planning management software (e.g. DAX- Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Degree / Diploma in management, supply chain, business or manufacturing discipline, preferred
  • Ability to accurately track inventory
  • An analytical mind with strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Industrial experience is an asset
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage a team of logistics, purchasing and customer service.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve inventory, scheduling and production related issues in a timely manner. (become DAX super user)
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy to ensure shipments are delivered correctly
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
  • Able to meet requirements of a Controlled Goods Facility
