HighFi is a platform powered by generative AI for fintech lenders to streamline their lending operations. In the last decade, fintech has transformed lending while the process for raising and managing the debt capital they need to operate has remained inefficient. The finance teams at fintech lenders have to rely on Excel to manage complex workflows which result in expensive manually intensive processes. With HighFi, innovative lenders can access a global network of capital partners and streamline their capital markets operations on one unified platform. Co-founded and designed by Tanay Delima, previously co-founder of unicorn fintech lender Clearco and backed by Nyca partner, Jeremy Solomon, previous finance leader at Affirm, Lending Club and SoFi. 

The Team

We’re currently a team that consists of product, operations and engineering. We’ve put down our roots in Toronto renting a private, open space office to give us a comfortable place to collaborate. 

Everyone is passionate about the problem we’re solving and is learning new things each day with the support of the team. We’re united by our love of creating impact on an industry starving for innovation and our love of food (we cater lunches daily). 

The Role

As a senior member of the product team and the first product design hire, you have the opportunity to shape the role and make a significant impact on our product and culture. You'll work with engineering and our customers to design an intuitive and visually appealing platform. This role is exciting for anyone looking to join a design-driven company with a hyper-collaborative team. We foster a supportive work environment focused on building a product that users love. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for establishing our design system and to captivate and engage users. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the engineering team and stakeholders to design a cohesive and intuitive user experience for our platform.
  • Conducting in-depth user research to understand the needs and challenges of our customers.
  • Translating complex financial processes and data into clear, user-friendly interfaces that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for new features and improvements.
  • Iterating on designs based on user feedback and analytics to continuously improve the user experience.
  • Leading the design process from conception to implementation, ensuring that all aspects of the user experience are considered and integrated.
  • Working closely with product and engineering teams to define requirements, prioritize design initiatives, and develop a clear vision for the platform's user experience.
  • Establishing and promoting our design system & brand, in collaboration with engineering, to ensure a consistent experience across all user touchpoints.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, specifically in fintech or related industries, with a proven track record in B2B product design.
  • Expertise in UX/UI design, including wireframing and prototyping.
  • Experience in conducting user research and usability testing to validate design decisions.
  • Highly preferred experience designing for responsive web (desktop + mobile) applications, especially within a product-led, tech-forward company.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems to lower the per-project design and engineering effort.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with both technical team members and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in front-end engineering and graphic design is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
