Subcontractor focused on RC frame buildings projects

Our Client, a successful concrete Contractor seeking an experienced and business-minded Project Manager to focus on various medium – large RC frame mixed use project in Vancouver.

The Project Manager is an integral member of the project team. Responsible for delivering construction projects of varying size and complexity. Focusing on structural works including formwork, concrete foundations and suspended slabs, rebar and architectural structures etc.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Capable and can bring some of their own experience and ideas
  • Pour tracking, how much concrete has been poured on a day to day basis and calculating the contact m2
  • Setting out and preparing project locates as required
  • Creating and maintaining RFI’s
  • Creating and maintaining PO numbers
  • Tracing deliveries and returns
  • Ensuring team meetings are lead and conducted weekly/daily
  • Create, maintain, and deliver all project documents and files
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the project team
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in delivery of projects, at least 1 year of local Canada experience
  • Concrete forming/placement experience required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
  • Familiarity with construction methods and the building codes
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Additional specialty training for tools, equipment, instruments, and safety.
  • Lead and direct tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Clearly understand the job description and perform their responsibilities adequately.
