Under Sunwing Vacations , we are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Maintenance Planner you will monitor, plan and schedule maintenance activities efficiently for Sunwing’s aircraft to ensure compliance with the Approved Maintenance Program, whilst meeting operational requirements. The position reports to the Maintenance Planning & Records Manager and will be located in Toronto, ON .
Monitorboth short- and long-term aircraft maintenance requirements utilizing airline software AMOS.
Plan efficient aircraft ground slots to ensure tasks and/or checks can be performed in accordance with the Airline Maintenance Planning policies and procedures.
Consult with Production and Commercial departments to ensure that all scheduled work parameters are met by maximizing ground time for scheduled maintenance tasks.
Ensure that adequate human resources, required materials are available at the location, facilities and third-party support have been reserved when planning scheduled maintenance activities.
Prepare scheduled aircraft work packages, utilizing various software to produce documents. (AMOS, My Boeing Fleet, Sunwing Ops, fttp websites) and distribute the work requirements for planned maintenance.
Consult with various internal departments, management, and external maintenance providers domestically, as well as overseas locations.
Maintain oversight for aircraft maintenance events. Provide update to the operational and commercial departments regarding changing timelines and return to service dates.
Undertake projects as assigned by the department manager.
Airline maintenance planning experience or related equivalent experience in an airline maintenance environment.
Working knowledge of Airline software applications, MS Office, AIMS, AMOS is beneficial to this role.
An AME licence or equivalent related experience is an asset to this position.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Overtime may be required.
