As Senior Advisor, IT Asset Management, SAM, you develop software asset management practices by implementing and maintaining tools, processes, procedures and indicators to ensure they are applied within operational teams. The nature of your work requires extensive knowledge of IT contract management and asset management. As part of your role, you serve as a product owner for highly innovative and strategic initiatives. These include initiatives to overhaul and improve the Software Asset Management (SAM) process and implement ServiceNow's new solutions and SAM Pro module. More specifically, you will:

  • Be an authority in your field and develop your expertise by identifying opportunities to improve work methods and processes and anticipate underlying impacts of changes on different teams

  • Keep abreast of changes and innovations in the market to update the roadmap and help plan and execute deliverables and initiatives to keep the practice evolving

  • Define and implement performance indicators to ensure compliance with governance documents on practice data quality and implement strategies to boost performance

  • Provide expert support, develop change management plans and lead skills development training sessions for professionals in your team

  • Build partnerships and collaborate with other IT practice leaders to meet shared objectives

  • Apply agile, squad and continuous improvement methodologies to support development activities

  • Analyze and identify user and stakeholder needs , then lead complex data valorization mandates and tools, while being mindful of the specifics of operationalization and ensuring alignment during rollout

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration or a related field

  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in software asset management

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Advanced knowledge of software asset management methodologies, concepts, practices, problems and trends

  • Advanced knowledge of IT contract management and/or IT supplier performance management principles

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of relevant trends, practices and issues in the IT industry and for major suppliers (examples include cloud computing, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and FinOps)

  • Intermediate knowledge of ITIL 4

  • Basic knowledge of ServiceNow's IT Service Management (ITSM) solution and IT asset management modules

  • Expertise in defining and developing processes and procedures and documenting requirements
