Its network of metals service centers carries an extensive line of metal products in a wide range of sizes, shapes and specifications, including carbon hot rolled and cold finished steel, pipe and tubular products, stainless steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous specialty metals. Its energy field stores carry a specialized product line focused on the needs of energy industry customers. Its steel distributors operations act as master distributors selling steel in large volumes to other steel service centers and large equipment manufacturers mainly on an "as is" basis.

We are looking for a self-starter who has superior organizational and administrative skills. This is a salaried, full-time, permanent position with work hours from Monday - Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Manage the inventory levels by product to satisfy future sales requirements while maintaining effective asset control.
To be responsible for the complete and accurate preparation of all documentation pertaining to the purchase and/or revisions of inventory requirements.
Monitor and participate in the coordination of inventory requirements for specific contract accounts that have committed stocking programs with our branch.
Familiar with procedures of importing/exporting products with correct tariffs, shipping manifests, duty drawback forms and exchange rates.
Coordinate, negotiate and issue proper documentation to satisfactorily settle any claims.
Participate in and support corporate purchasing programs.
To assist with various administrative responsibilities.
Post-Secondary education in the field of Metallurgy and/or Business Administration.
Previous purchasing experience within the Steel Service Center Industry would be an asset.
