We are currently seeking a qualified Smart 3D Administrator / Developer to join our team based out of Calgary, AB. The Smart 3D Administrator / Developer will be responsible for configuration and support of Smart 3D application, deliverables, as well as application enhancements. This involves ensuring Smart 3D setup and maintenance tasks are optimized to support effective integration, information flows between EPCM interfaces, and efficient client handover of data on major EPCM projects. Additionally, the applicant will be required to create user instruction guides and training material, along with administrative manuals and proper documentation for all configurations and enhancements. and have the opportunity to work on the Hatch Bantrel Joint Venture (HBJV) to execute engineering and construction on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project in Saskatchewan. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop productivity aids, standard configurations, and templates.
  • Managing and creating reporting options through the project lifecycle
  • Troubleshooting SQL database and SmartPlant Enterprise integration and software issues.
  • Develop Smart3D automation code such as Name Rules and Rule Checker customization.
  • Providing user-support to project resources
  • Identifying potential areas where policies & procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce overall costs and improve end user performance.
  • Schedule/prioritize work to accommodate project design team needs with minimum impact.
  • Documenting configuration changes and processesand create instructions for users.
  • Understand client standards, guidelines and procedures related to engineering design systems.
  • Update client standards as required.
Qualifications
  • A recognized degree or diploma from an accredited university/college/technical institute in an engineering/scientific discipline
  • A diploma or certificate in information technology, information management, and specialized training courses in 2D/3D CAD and other engineering applications an asset
  • A strong capability in C#, XML, and .NET programming specific to the Smart 3D application.
  • In-depth knowledge of Smart 3D data and catalog structure as well as Smart 3D Application Programming Interface.
  • Strong knowledge of MS SQL and the ability to use it in an integrated environment.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in S3D application support, integration, and development
