Description As the Procurement Manager at GoodMorning.com, you will take full ownership of direct costs and serve as a crucial business partner in managing indirect costs across the organization. This role calls for strategic leadership to build a high-performance team and develop a comprehensive procurement function covering Transactional, Core, and Strategic Procurement. You will be responsible for implementing category management strategies for all direct and indirect expenditures. Your responsibilities will include analyzing market trends to unearth optimal sourcing opportunities, fostering strong vendor relationships, and negotiating contracts to ensure favorable terms. As the Procurement Manager, you will manage the entire procurement spectrum, including ensuring efficient P2P processes are in place and implementing appropriate strategic procurement infrastructure and processes, such as eRFx, contract management systems, robust supplier performance measurement, and support for new product development. You and your team will be responsible for accurate materials forecasting, supplier management, and the optimization of costs across all spend categories. This holistic approach aims to bolster the company's financial and operational goals, ensuring cost-effective procurement practices that maintain the company's competitive edge and align with our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, effectively positioning GoodMorning.com at the forefront of its industry.

In this role, you will:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement team, setting clear objectives, facilitating professional development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strategic thinking.
Assume comprehensive responsibility for direct cost management and act as a strategic partner for indirect cost oversight, developing and executing procurement strategies that encompass transactional, core, and strategic procurement.
Implement category cost management strategies to optimize spending across all company expenditures, aligning with financial and operational objectives.
Evolve and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies, utilizing market research, supplier analysis, and cost models to secure the best products and materials domestically and internationally, while ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality products and achieving cost reduction targets.
Leverage market knowledge and negotiation skills to establish contracts with favorable terms for product quality, price, and delivery schedules, setting clear performance metrics for the procurement team and aligning team achievements with broader organizational objectives.
Engage in strategic materials planning, ensuring the timely availability of essential materials and goods to meet production schedules and customer demand, minimizing inventory costs while maximizing operational efficiency.
Explore and develop alternative sourcing channels, including international markets, to diversify the supplier base and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions.
Oversee compliance with industry standards and ethical sourcing practices, implementing risk management strategies to safeguard against supply chain vulnerabilities and enforcing compliance with service level agreements.
Collaborate with various departments to align procurement activities with cross-functional needs, driving the procurement process to meet internal quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
Implement a structured supplier performance management framework to assess, categorize, and develop suppliers based on performance metrics, initiating development programs for continuous improvement and value addition.
Foster a collaborative environment within the procurement team and across departments, ensuring procurement strategies support cross-functional goals and initiatives, and deliver in-depth reports and analyses on sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and procurement process improvements to drive data-driven decision-making.
Encourage the procurement team to stay informed on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in sourcing and procurement, facilitating regular training sessions and knowledge sharing.
Develop and optimize procurement processes and SOPs, creating and refining standard operating procedures for procurement activities to enhance efficiency and compliance, and institute best practice development and adoption within the team.
Develop and execute procurement strategies that encompass transactional, core, and strategic Procurement to streamline and enhance procurement operations.

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field, with a Master’s degree in a relevant area considered advantageous.
At least 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, including significant leadership experience managing transactional, core, and strategic procurement.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts to secure advantageous terms.
Proven track record in materials planning and ensuring the alignment of procurement activities with financial and operational objectives.
Experience with global sourcing and category cost management, optimizing spending across direct and indirect expenditures.
Strong financial acumen and experience in cost management and optimization across all categories of spend.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging and negotiating with suppliers and collaborating with internal stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Advanced organizational and project management skills, enabling the management of multiple procurement initiatives and projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in using data analysis to inform procurement decisions and strategies.
Outstanding strategic planning skills, aligning procurement strategies with broader business objectives and adeptly adapting to changing market conditions.
The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive negotiations and information with discretion
