About the Company
Our client, a highly regarded boutique firm located in Mississauga is currently in search of their next Corporate Law Clerk to support their growing practice. The firm provides excellent benefits, remuneration commensurate with experience, on-site parking and a casual and laid back environment. This role is currently a remote-hybrid flexi opportunity. This opportunity would provide the incumbent the chance to work alongside a talented legal professional team focused in the area of corporate/commercial law.

About the Role
  • Conducting due diligence and minute book reviews, , and drafting required updating documents.
  • Assisting with corporate transactions including drafting closing agendas, and drafting, organizing and finalizing transaction documents.
  • Assisting with closings and preparation of closing books.
  • Assisting with preparation and filing of documents required for business name registrations, partnership and limited partnership registrations, and extra-provincial registrations.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements and providing input on corporate compliance matters.
  • Completing and filing Form 1 NOC with Ministry when addresses, directors, or officers change
  • Prepare Articles of Incorporate, Articles of Amendment, Continuance, Amalgamations, Dissolutions, Revivals, etc.
  • Regular drafting of correspondence both internally and externally.
  • Updating and maintaining information in our corporate database.
What you Bring
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and various legal software (including DMS - Document Management System)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Successful completion of a Legal Administrative program; Law Clerk considered an asset
  • Ability to multi-task while working independently and as part of a team.
