Job purpose At FCB/SIX, the Account Director is the agency’s commissioner at the client. We want a person who understands the client’s needs beyond marketing and looks deeper at the partnership they have with the agency. This person takes a leadership role in strategy development and ensures that the strategy maps back to the client’s goals. The Account Director is a proactive and effective partner with all cross-functional team members. We want someone with the ability to champion ideas, inspire great work and effectively defend and persuade the agency POV to the client. Someone who knows a good idea when they see it.Duties and responsibilitiesUtilizes interpersonal savvy to rally internal and external Agency resources to help bring long-term, strategic recommendations to lifeSees the client business through a 360-degree lens and identifies out-of-the box ideas and opportunities to integrate and expand into other disciplinesBuilds one-on-one relationships with senior level clients to foster a partnership with the agencyManages needs of team members to maximize learning and productivity while minimizing turnoverAdopts a proactive approach to anticipating internal and external concernsOwns the crucial ability to reactively address and remedy current as well as unanticipated situationsDirects account and project development process through account, creative, production and digital teams to ensure appropriate resources are available and communication is consistent and timelyManages the workload, workflow and professional development of account teamPlays a key role in building client relationshipsResponsible for provision of strategic direction and growth of accountsEnsures financial performance across projects and accounts, i.e. profitability, income and growthContributes to new business development activities and pitchesPerform such other functions and responsibilities as assigned from time to time Comply with all AODA regulations and requirements Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures QualificationsHas 8+ years of relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 2+ yrs experience at Account Supervisor/Director levelHas the ability to provide big picture strategic thinking, vision and insights to drive big ideas and initiativesCRM and/or 1:1 campaign and digital experience Possesses collaborative leadership skills that encourage team cooperation and motivate relationship-buildingIs enthusiastic about business and passionate about marketingIs self-confident in oral, written, strategic and analytical abilitiesDemonstrates strong, fully developed staff management and partnership abilitiesHas earned a bachelor’s degreeNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
