Job description

Our team is growing, and we are actively looking to hire a Senior Field Claim Specialist, Property CAT to join our team Reporting to the Manager, National Catastrophe Claims, you will be responsible for investigating, assessing, and settling loss residential property claims for Allstate Canada. The Senior Field Claim Specialist will be responsible for handling and adjusting moderate to high complex claims and will works a part of the Catastrophe National Claim team to successfully meet ACG and Claim Department performance requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Investigates, negotiates and settles property damage claims of moderate complexity claims across Canada
  • Interprets insurance policy verbiage and determines policy coverage and reserves
  • Provides prompt and equitable settlement of high degree of complex claims while exercising superior customer service
  • Collaborates with third party vendors and customers to bring a file to completion while providing a resolution for both parties
  • Negotiates with insureds, contractors, claimants, legal representatives and insurers
  • Ensures the delivery of individual results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity timeliness, productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Ensures compliance with overall ACG, and regulatory, legal and ethical policies and requirements
  • Participates in ongoing learning and development opportunities

Qualifications?

  • Minimum 5 years experience adjusting complex and catastrophic residential property claims
  • Post secondary education, diploma or certification
  • Enrollment or completion of CIP designation and IICRC certification
  • Proficiency in Symbility and Xactimate software systems
  • Strong knowledge and experience in scoping large losses and completing large loss estimates
  • Excellent negotiation skills to successfully navigate and secure favorable outcomes
  • Ability to manage various tasks and priorities in a high volume and high pressure environment
  • Strong agility and flexibility skills to effectively manage and adapt to unexpected situations
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Description du poste

Notre équipe, en plein essor, est à la recherche d’une ou d’un spécialiste principal·e en réclamations habitation de catastrophe sur la route. Relevant de la directrice ou du directeur des réclamations nationales en cas de catastrophe, la personne titulaire de ce poste sera responsable de procéder aux enquêtes en vue d’évaluer et de régler des sinistres habitation au nom d’Allstate du Canada. Cette personne sera également responsable du traitement de sinistres moyennement et hautement complexes pour lesquels elle devra fournir une expertise. Elle travaillera au sein de l’Équipe des catastrophes nationales afin de répondre aux exigences du Groupe Allstate du Canada (GAC) et de l’Unité des réclamations en matière de performance.

Responsabilités

  • Enquêter sur les sinistres, négocier et régler les réclamations pour dommages matériels de complexité moyenne partout au Canada;
  • Déterminer les garanties ainsi que les provisions applicablesconformément au libellé de la police;
  • S’assurer que les réclamations sont réglées rapidement et équitablement en offrant un service client hors pair;
  • Collaborer avec les fournisseurs tiers et les clients pour fermer un dossier et fournir une solution satisfaisante aux deux parties;
  • Négocier avec les assurés, les entrepreneurs, les demandeurs, les représentants légaux et les assureurs;
  • Veiller à atteindre ses objectifs conformément aux indicateurs appropriés, notamment en ce qui concerne la qualité, la quantité, l’échéancier, la productivité et la satisfaction des clients;
  • Voir au respect des politiques du GAC, de la réglementation, de la législation et de l’éthique, et répondre aux exigences qui en découlent;
  • Tirer profit des occasions d’apprentissage et de développement continus.

Compétences

  • Au moins cinq années d’expérience dans un poste d’expert·e en sinistres habitation complexes résultant d’événements catastrophiques;
  • Études postsecondaires, diplôme ou certificat;
  • Détention ou en voie d’obtention du titre de professionnel d’assurance agréé (PAA) ou de la certification IICRC;
  • Maîtrise des logiciels Symbility et Xactimate;
  • Solide expérience en évaluation de sinistres importants et en préparation des estimations qui s’y rattachent;
  • Excellentes aptitudes en négociation en vue d’obtenir des résultats favorables;
  • Capacité à gérer, sous pression, différentes tâches et priorités;
  • Faire preuve d’agilité et de flexibilité afin de s’adapter à des situations inattendues et les gérer efficacement;
  • Fortes compétences en gestion du temps et sens de l’organisation.
