The Advisor is a key role responsible for reviewing and optimizing the data management processes within the Learning Management System (LMS). This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of data; enabling the organization to make informed decisions and enhance the overall learning and training experience.This is a technical role, which requires a high level of technical knowledge, customer service and partnerships both within the business and HR. The Advisor should also possess strong leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide guidance, and foster a cohesive team atmosphere while supporting other team members in achieving common goals.Further, your key stakeholders could includeLearning Partners integrated across the organizationWorkdayBST teamHRIS & other IS teamsInstructional Design teamTalent Management teamTraining & Competency Management teamResponsibilitiesStandardize data formats for learning content, reports and other information contained in the LMSIdentify and remove duplication across courses and learning recordsIdentify missing or incomplete data fields, such as incomplete user profiles, incomplete course information, or missing completion statusesValidate the data against reliable sources, and correct inaccuracies or add missing informationPurge or remove irrelevant or obsolete data in the LMSPerform data integrity checks to identify any inconsistencies or errors in the LMS dataValidate the LMS data against external sources, such as HR records or certification databases, to ensure data accuracy and alignmentReconcile the LMS data with other systems or reports to identify any discrepancies or inconsistenciesParticipate in creating a cohesive team atmosphere as well as providing support to other team membersQualificationsMust be legally entitled to work in CanadaPost-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field of studyMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in data management or data scienceProven experience in data management, preferably in the context of Learning Management SystemsDemonstrated leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide guidance, and foster a cohesive team atmosphereExperience with Workday Learning considered an assetStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data setsDetail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrityAbility to organize work and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to take initiative to improve business processes related to learning activitiesCompetent with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Communication skills to be able to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholdersApply here or send your resume to trevor.parlee@nesfircroft.com
