We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Project Associate to join our growing Building Envelope team

Edison Engineers specializes in the repair, restoration, and improvement of building envelopes, providing communication-focused professional engineering and project management services to our clients.

As a Building Envelope Project Associate , you will be responsible for conducting detailed assessments of building envelope systems. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities :

  • Conducting site inspections and investigations of building envelope components to assess performance, identify deterioration, and recommend repair or restoration solutions.
  • Performing building envelope system analysis, including waterproofing, air/vapor barriers, and thermal performance.
  • Preparing detailed technical reports, including condition assessments, scope of work, and specifications for repair/restoration projects.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and clients to develop practical project plans, schedules, and budgets for building envelope restoration and repairs.
  • Ensuring projects are executed according to plans, adhering to industry standards, codes, and regulations, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Providing technical support during construction, including attending site meetings, conducting field reviews, and troubleshooting any building envelope performance issues.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Building Science, or a related field .
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in building envelope engineering, repair, or restoration.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building envelope systems, including roofing, cladding, windows, and waterproofing.
  • Familiarity with industry standards elated to building envelopes, including CSA, ASTM, CGSB, and ULC.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with additional experience in building envelope performance simulation software considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from inspection through completion, with a focus on quality control and client satisfaction.
