We are looking for an Product Marketing Specialist to join our team. As a Product Marketing Specialist , you will support the strategic marketing efforts for GVA Lighting’s product portfolio, assisting in the research, content creation, and development of marketing assets. Your role will be essential in helping to position GVA Lighting’s products in the architectural lighting market, making them stand out to clients and designers worldwide.

GVA Lighting is a Canadian lighting manufacturer with a global presence, known for landmark architectural lighting projects worldwide, from Tower Bridge in London to Mashreq Bank in Dubai. We collaborate with renowned architects and lighting designers to create signature architectural lighting solutions. With our talented team, we push the boundaries of lighting technology, setting new standards in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Strategy Support

  • Conduct research on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs in architectural lighting.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies that effectively position GVA Lighting’s products.

Product Positioning and Messaging

  • Help create clear, compelling product messaging that highlights the unique value propositions of GVA’s products.
  • Work to ensure consistent, effective communication of product benefits to target customers.

Competitive Analysis

  • Perform competitive analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities.
  • Support strategy development by providing insights on competitor strengths, weaknesses, and industry positioning.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development and execution of GTM plans.
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure successful product launches and updates.

Marketing Collateral and Content Creation

  • Assist in the creation of product documentation, sales materials, and content for campaigns, social media, and promotional activities.
  • Help manage marketing assets to ensure they effectively showcase GVA Lighting’s products.

Sales Enablement

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop tools, training, and resources that enhance product understanding and support sales efforts.
  • Provide product information and support to improve sales effectiveness.

Customer Insights and Feedback

  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to understand preferences and perceptions.
  • Use these insights to support product improvements and refine marketing strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    3+ years in product marketing within the lighting industry or a related technical field.
  • Education:
    Knowledge of lighting principles is required relevant certifications (LC, CLD) are an asset.
  • Communication:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft technical yet engaging product messaging.
  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong ability to interpret market data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Project Coordination:
    Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Ability to work effectively across departments to support product marketing goals.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Familiarity with marketing tools, analytics platforms, MS Office, and ERP systems.
  • Customer Focus:
    Strong understanding of customer needs, with the ability to translate them into effective marketing strategies.
