As the Video Production Specialist you are responsible for creating high-quality promotional and marketing video content that effectively showcases Geotab’s products. You will work on projects from concept to final delivery including, production coordination, storyboarding, filming, editing, technical hardware and software maintenance, operations and process improvements.
**What you'll do:
The Video Production Specialist ensures that all content is technically sound, visually engaging and accurately reflects the company brand. This position also supports a wide range of requests including the video planning and coordination of schedules to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

The Video Production Specialist focuses on the production aspects of a project. Key areas in creative storyboarding, filming, editing, animation and utilizing AI tools.
**How you'll make an impact
- Collaborate with internal and external teams clients, directors, and producers - to plan and develop video content creating storyboards to align with the client/department goals
- Works closely with the Sr. Video Production Specialist to ensure deliverables are being clearly communicated and understood.
- Constantly evaluate and identify opportunities for enhancing video production workflows, processes and implementing innovative solutions to increase efficiency and quality of projects and processes.
- Book locations, arrange transportation and coordinate with external vendors to ensure a smooth video shoot as needed
- Works closely with internal stakeholders to understand the products and ensure the video content captures and highlights the desired elements
- Video production expertise: have a strong understanding of all aspects of video production, including camera operation, lighting, sound design, and post-production.
- Work with business groups to understand complex technical ideas and translate the ideas into compelling multimedia marketing assets while upholding the Geotab brand and delivering creative content that is on brand Adaptability: Must be able to adapt to changing circumstances, problem solve in unpredictable situations
- Video file management organizes and maintains our video assets.
**What you'll bring to the role
- University degree or college diploma in the field of Video/Film Production and or Marketing
- 3 - 5 years of required previous experience in Content,Production experience, Editing and Animation ;
- Experience working in broadcast and/or film and/or marketing and/or corporate or a similar field.
- Video editing and motion graphics experience. Traditional animation skills are a bonus.
- Strong skills in video editing and motion animation, as well as the ability to operate video equipment.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Premier Pro, After Effects and Adobe Audition.
- Familiarity with professional cameras, various HD and SD formats, studio and field production, lighting/grip and photography.
- Audio knowledge includes small format mixers, compression, EQ, effects processors, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-track and waveform editing.
- Post-production entails digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
- Confidence in leading projects independently or working across teams.
- Experience directing collaborative team productions.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment with proven ability in managing projects successfully through tight timelines
- Strong creative problem solving skills.
- Resourceful, tenacious, detail oriented and driven to meet deadlines.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each project is completed on time.
- Strong communication skills to be able to convey ideas clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues.
