Do you have experience as a Law Clerk specializing in wills and estates? We're looking for a Wills & Estates Law Clerk for our legal sector client As a full-service law firm based in Ottawa , our client is looking for someone with at least 2 years of related experience assisting lawyers and has a keen eye for detail and strong time management skills. A Law Clerk diploma and a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a wills & estates clerk, or equivalent
Thorough knowledge of estate administration procedures and Rules of Civil Procedure
Organize and keep track of estate planning documents and prepare reporting letters
Draft, update and maintain the estate documents
Maintain and enforce protocol for releasing original estate documents when required
Work with clients to gather information to obtain a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee
Ascertain and prepare a list of original estate assets together with calculation of estate and administration tax
Received issued Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee from Court and preparation of reporting letters
Prepare necessary documents to redeem and/or transfer assets of the estate
