Analyze contract documents (drawings, specifications, contract deliverables, etc.) to prepare self-perform cost estimates of projects for earthworks and underground projects (site development, road building, detail excavation).
Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-build.
Based on a 40-hour work week (8 hours a day, Monday - Friday), with overtime as required. Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
Analyze contract documents (drawings, specifications, contract deliverables, etc.) to prepare self-perform cost estimates of projects for earthworks (site development, road building, detail excavation). Organize subcontractor quotes when the bid is successful, rewriting binders and assisting the buy-out process. Set up new cost estimates in bidding software. Contact subcontractors and vendors for specific divisions to get external pricing. Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities. Identify potential project risks. Attend pretender meetings & site visits, where applicable. Work with proposal & operations teams in writing execution methodology, safety plans, Indigenous Engagement Strategies, and quality documentation. Project Management and Field Experience is an asset
~1+ years of civil construction experience is an asset
~Proficient English language skills required
~ Civil Engineer Degree or equivalent experience is an asset.
