At Inter-Co Division 10, we specialize in the distribution and installation of toilet partitions, lockers, washroom accessories, glass shower systems and other specialty construction products. With 10 locations across Canada and the United States, it is our mission to create the leading North American Division 10 distribution company focused on exceptional customer service, competitive pricing and industry-leading expertise and project delivery. We are currently looking for a committed and experienced Director of Finance to be based in our Toronto office. Reporting into the President, this role will provide oversight and leadership to the performance of our accounting teams across all company branches.
Primary responsibility for all accounting-related aspects of the business
Hire, train and manage the Project Accountants in each of our branches
Hire, train and manage the Credit & Collections Manager for the business
Support all branches as it relates to day-to-day accounting issues, monthly financial statements and bank reconciliations, and year-end reporting
Control cash flow and collections
Monitor monthly inventory counts by Project Managers
Facilitate a weekly accounting meeting with Project Accountants
Ensure all accounting processes and controls are developed, communicated and followed
Overnight travel to all offices in both Canada and the U.S (estimated 2 - 3 nights/month)
CPA Accounting designation
Minimum 3+ years of experience in an accounting managerial role
Experience in the construction industry would be considered an asset
Leadership & ability to motivate staff in remote offices
Ability to delegate work to Project Accountants while still ensuring high-quality work product
Solid work ethic and long-term commitment to our company
