The role:

We are looking for a committed individual who is excited about transactions. A typical day could include the following tasks:

  • Support Vice Presidents and Associates in executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises and valuation engagements.
  • Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities.
  • Perform research and analysis in support of thematic publications and new business generation
  • Assist in the preparation of financial models, company marketing materials and client presentations
  • Manage purchasers throughout the sale process including facilitating their diligence
  • Prepare external client proposals.

Job Requirements:

An ideal candidate should have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or a related field with a proven academic record.
  • 2 - 3 years of work experience in an accounting or corporate finance role.
  • A strong understanding of financial accounting, valuation, modelling and forecasting.
  • The ability to function well in both a team setting and on a self-directed basis.
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work products consistently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • CPA, CFA or CBV designation
