Senior Blown Film Extrusion Specialist

One of our clients is looking for an experienced Blown Film Extrusion Specialist who has great knowledge of extrusion and have worked in the related industry.

Job Position: Blown Film Extrusion Specialist

Pay Rate: $24-$28

Shift timing: Morning: 7am-3pm,

Afternoon: 3pm-11pm,

Night: 11pm-7am

Work location: Mississauga

Responsibilities:

· Start and operate extrusion lines, Adjust size and run production in accordance with job safety analysis, standard operating procedures, quality procedures, and minimize downtime and waste

· Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format and completed with all required information - Complete daily production reporting

· Check the size to ensure width, gusset and length are as requested

· Check Gram and Gauge to ensure there is no variation throughout

· Monitor roll weights to ensure the correct gauge and size is maintained throughout the shift for quality control

· Check film for strength/color/clarity/slip/easy open

· Check for die lines that appear in the film

· Ensure there are no wrinkles in the film/winding

· Ensure film isn’t being winded too tight or too loose

· Ensure packaging and labeling of film to prevent damage and errors

· Clean Die and Air Ring with copper pipe If needed to prevent gauge variation & Die lines in film and replace screens for extruders

· Maintain clean work area and environment

· Supports plant production needs and priorities to achieve high quality production

· Works diligently to achieve line efficiency goals

· Communicate effectively with managers, lead persons, and maintenance personnel regarding recurring problems and needs for repair

· Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

· Create a brief production report to highlight production and scrap rates

· Train New Employees to tier five

· All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Must have a minimum of 3 years experience specifically in Blown Film Extrusion as a supervisor or 5 years as an operator

· Must have experience to Extrude LDPE and LLDPE

· Must know the formulas to calculate order sizes changes and BUR (blow up ratio)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
