Student Labourer ( Cemeteries ) – Summer Operations
(Temporary Full-Time for approximately 4 months)

As the largest municipality in Waterloo Region, Kitchener continues to be poised for development and growth, enhancing its reputation as a leader in city-building and innovation, with nationally recognized strategies to build its neighbourhoods , its digital infrastructure and its diverse economy.
Working with the Cemeteries team, the summer students will assist with the maintenance and general care for City of Kitchener cemeteries.
Applications received after this date will be kept in an application pool in case of future opportunities.


Maintains flower beds and hanging baskets; plants, weeds, and provides general care and maintenance of a mixed perennial, bi-annual and annual plant material .
Waters and fertilizers plant material as required .
Collects and removes debris/litter (site beautification) .
Preference will be given to candidates with a v alid MTO “G 2” class driver’s license in good standing and a bility to provide Drivers Abstract at your own expense as a condition of employment.
Ability to perform physical labour in a variety of outdoor conditions.

40 hours per week , Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm
