Today our uniquely integrated health care organization includes Lakeland Long Term Care, six Nursing Stations delivering care to rural communities, management of District ambulance services and dispatch, and a full range of in-patient and out-patient programs associated with a 90-bed acute care hospital.

WPSHC is currently has an opening for an Ambulance Communications Officer in Parry Sound, reporting to the Manager of Ambulance Communications.
Hours of work are all shifts, including weekends and being on standby as required by the Department.
To qualify for the role, you will need to have met all requirements of an Ambulance Communications Officer as per the Ambulance Communications Services Performance Agreement. Successful completion of a Ministry of Health approved Ambulance Communications Course (CORE/Entry to Practice Training);
Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills;
Ability to maintain control under pressure and use professional judgement;
Ability to interpret/apply policies and procedures;
Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references;
Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs;
A demonstrated ability to perform the duties of an Ambulance Communications Officer would be an asset.
