ABOUT OUR OPERATION Want to learn more about our Exploration sites? The Kirkland Lake Regional team ensures a strong pipeline of projects supporting reserves-base and production-capacity, while maintaining the quality, manageability, and adequacy of our future investments. We focus on discovering new deposits and increasing reserves in the Kirkland Lake area using our expertise in exploration and advanced project development. Through our internal expansion projects, including advanced exploration work at our Kirkland Lake project, as well as other ongoing exploration activities and acquisitions, joint-ventures and potential partnerships, we are well positioned to continue growing our production.
Provide technical leadership for the Kirkland Lake Regional team including developing regional-, target- and deposit-scale geological and mineralizing models;
Collection, compilation, data management, and interpretation of geological information from exploration programs including diamond drilling, mapping, geophysics, and surface sampling;
Provide technical leadership for regional exploration team including review, development and maintenance of best practice technical exploration systems and protocols;
Contribute to developing exploration work programs and to strategic exploration planning;
In collaboration with the Exploration General Supervisor, ensure technical coaching for professional development purposes and proactive mentorship of junior staff.
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Post-Graduate degree is considered an asset;
~ 4 or more years of experience in mineral exploration, both field and diamond drilling programs;
~ Experience with generating and evaluating projects;
~ Experience managing exploration teams and contractors;
~ Experience testing and implementing new technologies and methods;
~ Excellent working knowledge of GIS software;
~ Valid driver’s license;
~ Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
