**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Based at the Macassa Mine Site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a** Resource Geologist **join our Exploration Geology team.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer, with grade improving at depth, and a key valuation driver for Agnico Eagle. Located in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the Macassa Mine remains one of the highest gold grade mines in the world. Macassa commenced operations in 2002, and with the discovery of the South Mine Complex has been able to increase its level of production significantly over the past five years. The mine is located in an area with well-developed infrastructure, including a provincial highway, a railway system and a private airport. High-grade ore is processed at the Macassa Mill, which currently has available capacity and is located in close proximity to the mine.

The Resource Geologist will be responsible for developing geological models and global mineral resource estimates following NI 43-101 standards and best practice guidelines

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Your responsibilities will include:

- Interpretation of geological data (underground mapping, drill holes, mining voids, etc.) to create realistic 3D lithological, mineralization and structural models
- Responsible for the creation of geological resource estimations using Datamine or other applicable Software
- Effective communication, training and guidance of other geologists involved with all aspects of resource estimation
- Ensure the data being used is in compliance with geological QA/QC standards
- Involved with required NI 43-101 compliant technical reporting of resource estimates and resource statements
- Work with mine geologists to ensure that interpretations and models are created that agree with underground geological mapping and sampling
- Provide direction and assistance in developing drill programs to define mineral resources
- Assist Engineering in the reserve process to maximize geological objectives
- Assist with developing mine production reconciliations
- Weekly, monthly, and annual reporting as required
- Lead from the front to ensure compliance with the companies Zero Harm safety culture
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility
- Other duties as shared from time to time

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Registered Professional Geologist of Ontario (P.Geo., or eligible to register)
- B.Sc. in Geology or Tertiary education in Geology
- Strong academic and applied background in structural geology
- Capacity to coach, guide, influence and develop others
- Experience in a gold mining environment
- More than 2 years’ experience involved with mineral resource estimations
- Strong ability with geological software (Datamine, Leapfrog, Deswik, Fusion, DH Logger, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter and ability to lead
- High safety standards
- Exceptional time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to mentor subordinates
