Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Barista/Cashier to join our team in a vibrant café environment. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items, and managing transactions efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent time management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Duties Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages and food items while adhering to food safety standards. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for processing customer orders and payments. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces. Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and ensure accurate cash register operations. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Qualifications Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications. Experience in the food industry or food service is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous but can be learned on the job. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
